Covid Safe Policy
We are removing our Covid mandated vaccination requirements as most of the population is now vaccinated. We do ask for people to be respectful of personal space when attending.
We also ask that if you have any cold/flu symptoms you do not attend your sessions. If you are between 7 and 10 days out of Isolation we ask that you wear a mask.
If you are unvaccinated please take particularly care regarding personal space – maintain 1.5 metres at all times. We have a few very vulnerable staff members who we are doing our best to support and keep safe Masks would be a great way to do this, but we will not be checking vaccination status, so are simply asking for people to be responsible and community aware.
Thank you
No longer Active as of June 1st 2022. We may implement again if necessary
NOTICE TO MEMBERS
After much thought and consideration, the Committee and Management of the Holdfast Dog Centre have decided on a Covid Safe Policy to help us offer the safest outcomes we can.
Covid19 has presented us with many challenges over the last couple of years and this is another one.
We have decided to implement a Vaccinated Only policy.
As an organisation with small staff numbers and close contact with our members, we feel we have an obligation to keep staff safe and do our utmost to reduce any spread of the virus once the risk increases with open borders. We have some vulnerable staff members and club members too and it is our responsibility to protect them as best we can.
As of Tuesday November 23rd, anyone using our services will need to show Proof of Vaccination. We will accept first shot at this date, with fully vaccination status to be provided by the time we return to work on January 10th, 2022. *Exceptions will apply
The following strategies will be implemented on Tuesday 23rd.
Classes : Members attending classes will be asked to show us Proof of Vaccination, via App or paper printout. We will record this information on your account, and you will not need to show it again until your first attendance in 2022. Then annual (for as long as we need to keep this in place). Anyone attending with you will also need to show Proof of Vaccination. QR check in will still be required and masks will need to be worn inside, but not outside on training grounds.
Daycare: Members dropping dogs at daycare will be asked to show us Proof of Vaccination, via App or paper printout. We will record this information on your account, and you will not need to show it again until your first attendance in 2022. Then annual (for as long as we need to keep this in place) We can keep track of any person who regularly drops the dog off so they don’t need to keep showing POV. Anyone else will need to show at drop/off pick up time. QR check in will still be required and masks will need to be worn while lining up, dropping off and picking up.
Single Session Fridays: Members attending a single session will need to be vaccinated prior to attending.
Visitors: Visitors to our Friday day care sessions will need to provide Proof of Vaccination prior to visiting. Visitors will still need to QR check in and wear masks to enter, though masks may be removed once out on the grounds. No one will be able to gather under the verandah or in the club rooms.
A medical exemption that means you can’t be vaccinated will be accepted but masks will need to be worn for everyone’s wellbeing. Mask exemptions will also be accepted of course.
Children under 12 do not need to wear masks.
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and understanding. We will continue to reassess periodically as we move forward with Covid 19.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any concerns or questions
